The heron starts flapping its wings seemingly to get up into the brush and weeds in the bank (or maybe to warn me to stay back?).

  • In this first photo the heron is getting a bit nervous and heading for cover in the weeds and brush of the bank.<br>
A Middlebury Parks Department employee saw me taking pictures at the park and approached me to let me know there was a crane in the water near where they were working. I was able to get some photos of what appears to be a great blue heron. The shooting conditions weren't the best but I was able to get a couple OK photos of the heron.<br>
